My design work for the Montagu Trails platform centred on the core philosophy that "all doors lead outdoors," aiming to dismantle the intimidation often associated with outdoor activities. I envisioned a user-centric digital space, accessible via a mobile-optimised interface, where individuals could seamlessly plan, experience, and share their outdoor adventures, regardless of their experience level.

 

This included integrating practical features like downloadable maps, Strava connectivity for tracking, and detailed information on trail distances, elevation, and accessibility, alongside curated local expert-led tours. The overarching brand system was deliberately crafted to be inclusive, utilising a "path framing" visual metaphor to represent adventures of all scales, from challenging mountain expeditions to leisurely neighbourhood strolls, coupled with relatable imagery designed to resonate with the innate connection to the outdoors that exists within everyone.
