I developed the complete brand and visual identity for Vanessa Thurlwell’s Consultancy, reflecting its mission to “Simplify Complexity and Build Confidence.” This cohesive and professional identity was designed to position the consultancy as a trusted partner in risk management and resilience.
Key Contributions to Brand Development:
1. Logo Design:
• Created a sophisticated logo reflecting the protea, South Africa's national flower, symbolising diversity, transformation, and resilience. This symbol communicates expertise and clarity, the cornerstone of the consultancy’s visual identity.
2. Visual Identity:
• Developed a versatile design system with flexible branding elements that adapt seamlessly across platforms and industries.
• Crafted a colour palette featuring deep blues for authority and trust, soft aqua for innovation, and warm earth yellow for optimism, balanced by neutral floral white for a clean, sophisticated backdrop.
3. Typography:
• Selected Cormorant Garamond as the primary typeface to exude professionalism, sophistication, and timelessness. This typeface ensures clarity and legibility, making it ideal for formal documents and marketing materials.
4. Messaging and Presentation:
• Designed brand messaging and communication templates that balance formality with a collaborative tone.
• Created presentations and social media imagery that simplify complex concepts, making them accessible and actionable for clients.
5. Social Media Assets:
• Designed imagery and templates for social media platforms to reinforce the brand’s approachable yet authoritative personality, ensuring consistency across all channels.
